“Limitations exist only in the mind” Kathleen Phythian.
Many people who were at Liverpool’s game at Hillsborough on April 15th 1989 suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as they helplessly witnessed the deaths of 97 innocent people. The same applies to those who witnessed the London bombings on 7th July 2005. Usually abbreviated to P.T.S.D. – Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can happen to any body who has witnessed tragedy beyond their control, any overwhelming life experience can cause PTSD, watching a loved one die in agony, witnessing a fatal accident, watching a beloved pet die. PTSD can arise from many varied traumatic experiences and if not treated it can stay in the body for years, preventing us from moving forward as if an enormous ball and chain had been attached to us keeping us locked in the past.
P.T.S.D. has been rebranded as P.T.S.I. THE ‘I’ standing for injury as it is now accepted that people can recover from this injury and it isn’t actually a disorder.

Opened in 2011 in a landmark waterfront building, the Museum of Liverpool is the UK’s first museum dedicated to the history of a city. Visitors can explore how Liverpool’s port, its people and its creative, industrial and sporting history have shaped the city.
